June 30, 2010

Dear Youth,

This is just a reminder that we will not have a meeting on Sunday, July 4^th.  We will, however, meet at 4:00 on Saturday, July 10^th, to set up for the chicken dinner and concert.  Everyone who is planning on being a part of the mission trip next summer should plan on being at this first fund raiser.  If it does not work into your family’s schedule, please call the church or e-mail Mike.

We will also meet on Sunday, July 11^th for a short Youth Council meeting.  We will then head out for a game of miniature golf (hopefully it won’t rain this time!).  We plan on being back at the church by 5:30.

The deadline for letting Mike or Kathleen know if you will be attending the Conference Council on Youth Ministries day at Worlds and Oceans of Fun is July 18^th.  The actual event will be August 2^nd.  The cost is $46.00 with the youth group paying $23.00 per person.  We will need Safe and Sacred trained adults who are willing to drive and supervise.  Please let Kathleen know if one of your parents could help with this event.

You also need to mark your calendar for September 17^th through the 19^th.  We will be going to Omaha for a planning retreat.  While there we will be staying at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.  In addition to planning our 2010-2011 year we will also be visiting the Omaha Zoo and the River Walk.  Please make certain you and a parent attend the Youth Council Meetings so you can help plan this event.

Last, but not least, we are in the process of scheduling a mission trip to Denver for the summer of 2011.  We should have the exact week by the middle of August.  We will let everyone know the dates as soon as possible!
